Roughcut is operated by Adikia LLC. This page explains what data we collect when you use tryroughcut.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to make your videos and bill your plan, and nothing else.
What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- Account details: your name and email address, provided directly or through Google sign-in.
- Billing details: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Your content: the scripts, product descriptions, titles, and brand colors you submit, and the videos Roughcut generates for you.
- Usage data: server logs and basic product events (like a generation starting or finishing) that help us keep the service reliable.
How we use it
We use your data to run Roughcut: to turn your script into a finished video, to bill your subscription, to answer support requests, and to improve the product.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your scripts or videos to train our own models.
Who we share it with
We share data with the small set of providers the service is built on, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe, to process payments and manage your subscription.
- The AI and voice providers that power our studio, which process your script and product description to produce your video.
- Our hosting infrastructure, where your account data and finished videos are stored.
Retention and deletion
We keep your content so your videos stay available to you. If you want your account and content deleted, email us and we will remove them.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Write to [email protected] and we will sort it out.
